Comfort Inn, thank you for an absolutely wonderful stay!
The only problem we had was not having hot water in the shower. The water was "luke-warm". I believe this may have been a temporary problem, but it could not be rectified while we stayed at the hotel. I suggest checking the hot water immediately upon check-in. Everything else was exceptional. I would stay here again (but I would check the water right away).
Stayed overnight while in town for family wedding. Hotel was clean and fresh. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. I forgot a pair of boots in the room and did not realize until I was home. The staff located my boots and set them aside for me. Thank you!
We had an overnight stay at the Newark-Wilmington Comfort Inn and were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the facilities and the helpfulness of the staff. The room was neat, comfortable and well laid-out. I loved having a wall thermostat in the room rather than fiddling with buttons and dials on a window unit. Can't speak to the breakfast as we didn't try it, but I would stay here again without hesitation.
Absolutely outstanding! I was in the area for a wedding, and had spent the previous couple of nights in a very ritzy hotel. Far and away, the Comfort Inn was better. The staff were friendly and efficient at every turn, from checking us in and out, to cleaning our rooms, to serving a tasty and filling hot breakfast - no mere plate of cellophane-wrapped pastries here! Expect both scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, sausage patties, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, make-your-own-waffles and, yes, a full tray of fresh pastries, bagels, and muffins. (And, of course, all-day coffee and tea.) The rooms were comfortable and sound-proofed, the towels were fluffy, and the hot water was instantaneous.
But the staff really went above and beyond helping me recover a treasured keepsake that had fallen out of my purse in the breakfast room. I didn't notice it was missing until we were out of the hotel and in the airport, but they were immediately helpful when my partner called them. They had it right there, waiting for its owner to reclaim it, and shipped it out right away. It's a long way from Newark to Seattle, WA, where I live, but it almost beat us home! I lost it and left DE on Wednesday, arrived back home on Thursday, and found it waiting in my mailbox on Friday. Wow!
Only hotel I stay at while visiting my kids at UDEL - immaculate, convenient, courteous and a helpful staff. They also have a gym and a pool which is fun in the warmer weather. Rates are affordable compared to other hotels in the area.
