The "google user" from 6 yrs. ago sounds like BS. Obviously an employee trying to justify bad behavior. At the end of the review it says "they will be nice to you, if you're nice FIRST" what is this?? a playground??? When a consumer goes into a place of business they should be treated as if their business is wanted. Any business worth patronizing will treat clients in a professional and courteous manner otherwise risk losing future business. There's no shortage of choices you can make when deciding where to spend your money.
Went here for a laser iridotomy. The staff is super kind, patient and understanding. I was super nervous but Dr. Doyle did an awesome job and I was home in an hour. He explained everything in detail and made sure I was at ease .
Thanks Delaware Eye Care for fixing me
My family has been patients here for a few years now. The optical side of the business is horrible. The 2 ladies that work there are nasty. They talk to you like your an idiot, they constantly argue with you, and have very short abrupt answers. However on the office side, I love Dr Doyle. The only thing that is frustrating is the new fees and policies the office have which is ridiculous. Not only do they charge every year a contact fitting fee that was once included after the setup if you remained a customer, they never notified me that the policy changed. I am not sure we will remain here. As for the optical side do yourself a favor and get your contacts or frames/ lenses from someone who isn't rude and appreciates your business.
Both times I have went, I have had to wait atleast 30 mins before being seen, but when you get awesome care, it doesn't really matter!
Wait times are terrible. Show up on time for your appointment and wait for over an hour to be taken back.
I've been a customer for years. When I started as a patient you paid an upfront contact fitting fee and from then on it was included as being a patient. When they were recently sold that program went away. I could understand grandfathering it for existing customers. Fortunately, I had enough contacts to get by until I decided to go with multi-focal. I was in for my regular checkup and said maybe I should look into a new type of lens. Told both the tech and doctor I didn't bring a check or credit card to pay the fitting fee. Knowing I had to come back in two weeks for a followup and that until I paid they wouldn't release my prescription anyway we all agreed I would pay in two weeks when I came back in. Well, when I spoke to the person in charge of the billing for the fitting fee and that I would pay when I came back told me they were not supposed to give me contacts until I paid. I took them out and put them on the desk. She took them and almost threw them away until I made a stink and she said that they would bill me. This place is all about the money. I like the doctor he is great but the administration of this organization is very poor. I have an eye condition that requires me to be seen every six months. Don't want to leave the doctor but at this point I can't take a medical provider who cares more about money than patients.
