It's a Denny's.
Waitresses have been terrible the last couple weeks. I've been going twice a week for a year now & the service & even management have been bad as well but I love their flood.
Minutes of waiting for the waitress to come over from sitting with her one & only other table, she sat down at my table to take my order, walked around for another 10 minutes literally doing nothing, still no coffee or water, cook comes out & gives me coffee & asks what I'd like to order. I reply that I thought I ordered 10 minutes ago & he said "oh no she's busy running around by herself with like 10 tables, she didn't put it in yet". THERE WAS ONE OTHER TABLE, who was there before me & also had not received one beverage yet after placing their order. Needless to say they both appeared to be under he influence of drugs. I will never go back.
If you are looking for a "mom/pop" kind of diner, look somewhere else. Claymont has two that are pretty good.
Food and service was good. During my visit there the manager was arguing with an associate in the back room using extreme profanity, telling the associate to shut up and so forth. All of the guests eating could hear everything, it made the experience very uncomfortable for everyone.
I've gone on what I assume were training days. Don't go on training days. Turn around if it looks like a training day. Your good will be cold and they'll get your order wrong. They always do for some reason. I've never confronted them about it, but they always do it.
Open 24 hours, lots of food options, Awesome waitstaff! (Our server Samantha was great! Very Friendly, helpful and a fun sense of humor! And they still give you a free meal on your birthday!
I'd say it was the worst service if I had actually received any service. After 10
If you need coffee and pancakes, it'll do.
The hash browns are shredded, if anyone is curious.
Kitchen is a little slow..but the food was delicious!
