Friendly staff. Easy to find items if not the staff takes you right to it. The staff is very knowledgeable in products and what's needed even if you don't!
It's a great store! It can be on the pricey side but still a great place to shop. Even if you just want a place to go and look around other then the mall, its great. They have a food place inside also. If you have the time you should check it out.
This store is nice to have somewhat close to home. Having hunted in SJ for years it was nice to finally get a big outdoor store in the area. Usually have what I am looking for and customer service has been very good for me. The wait in the firearms area to get help can be long but I have found this to be the same at Bass Pro. Overall great store A+
The Customer service in the firearms department is unprofessional. We had a ticket and had been waiting for assistance for over an hour, then they announce that they are closing. One employee said everyone who was already waiting didn't have to leave, they will get to us. Then after waiting another half hour, some fat white dude comes back and says "you're not buying a gun tonight, you can kick rocks" first of all, even if they could not help us due to store closing, you should never talk to a paying customer like that. Second of all, he didn't even ask us what we needed? My son wanted to look at 1 gun, not 20..he already knows which one he wanted! This particular night, my son just wanted to hold it and get a feel for it, that would not have taken much time. This guy was rude and should not be employed by Cabelas with how unprofessional he was. You don't speak to your customers that way. A simple, "I'm sorry, we are closed" is all he had to say.
Went to look at rifles and had a few questions. Now I know people that work in the gun area are knowledgeable but then there are those that talk to you like your an idiot and they talk down at you like you don’t know anything. Now I do have some knowledge about rifles but for once I’d like to go and not have some gun guru talk to me like I’m some complete moron. Some staff needs to be more people friendly and not so condescending when interacting with customers.
